Celebrate the arrival of spring with chef-owner Jim Solomon at an upcoming Fireside Chat, his semi-monthly Saturday afternoon tasting series at The Fireplace in Brookline’s Washington Square. There’ll probably be no need to light the fire but guests can still get cozy with food and wine experts – farmers, vintners and brewers – as Solomon and chef de cuisine Toby T. Hill guide everyone through an educational exploration of wines, spirits, beers or seasonal specialty foods. The afternoon sessions, which run from 3:00-4:15pm every other Saturday, cost around $25 each (though prices may vary).
