Chef-owner Jim Solomon jumps right in to the 2007 season of Fireside Chats, his semi-monthly tastings at Brookline’s beloved Fireplace Restaurant. With a little assistance from various food and wine experts – farmers, vintners and brewers – Solomon and his newly-appointed chef de cuisine Toby T. Hill guide guests through an educational exploration of wines, spirits, beers or seasonal specialty foods. The afternoon sessions, which run from 3:00-4:15pm every other Saturday, cost around $25 each (though prices may vary).
