Kevin Crawley hosts a series of Food & Wine Cooking Tutorials at
Coriander Bistro this month, join him in the kitchen for a cheese intensive with the Wasiks, a whole new take on Thanksgiving or an ode to Greek cuisine. The themed tutorials, which run from 7:00-9:00pm, are a great chance to get a glimpse of the inner workings of a professional kitchen and to learn some great cooking tips from a talented chef. The tutorials cost $60 per person and tend to fill up quickly, so plan ahead and call Coriander at 781.784.5450 to reserve your spot for any of the following:
Tuesday, November 7th – Welcome Back Wasiks
Crawley and Co. welcome back the Wasiks, proprietors of Wasik’s Cheese Shop in Wellesley, and wine educator Bob Harkey of Harkey’s Wines and Spirits in Millis. Guests will taste three flights of cheese paired with three hidden gem wines (and maybe get some good gift ideas for the holidays).
Tuesday, November 14th – Not Your Grandmother’s Thanksgiving
With his Food Network challenge about to air, Crawley shows guests some of his non-traditional tricks with the Thanksgiving Day menu. Tune in for Turkey Two Ways – a hearty red wine braise and a unique paillard, with sweet potato galette, and cranberry apple tart with gingersnaps and calvados syrup. Guests will get packet with the complete menu and some great suggested pairings.
Monday, November 20th – Ode to a Grecian Yearn
Crawley hosts an amazing evening of Greek food and wines with special guest and expert on all things Greek, Nick Cobb. This tutorial takes a different format with plenty of small tasting plates of smoked chicken avgolemono; roast lamb with tomato, avocado and feta toss; galaktobouriko and more.
