Enjoy a hands-on cooking class with Lumière’s award-winning chef-owner Michael Leviton who’ll guide you through the preparation of his favorite fall foods, all of which celebrate the bounty of the harvest. The resulting courses will be paired with a selection of New England wines. The class runs from 6:00-9:00pm and costs $125 per person.

Thursday, October 19thThe Mysteries of Charcuterie

Let Jamie Bissonnette, executive chef at Eastern Standard in Kenmore Square, guide you through the art of smoking, salting and curing. Bissonnette will show you how to create delicious sausages, pates and terrines while wine director Ed Mancuso will pair as assortment of accompanying wines. The demo and subsequent tasting runs from 6:00-8:00pm and costs $50 per person.

Saturday, October 21stA Watertown Market Tour With Ana Sortun

Let chef Ana Sortun introduce you to the Watertown markets that inspire the eastern Mediterranean menu at Oleana. Learn where to buy spice combinations, olives, grains, nuts, yogurts, pastry, and wines. After the tour, enjoy lunch at Sortun’s favorite local restaurant. The tour runs from 10:00am-2:00pm and costs $75 per person, which includes lunch and gratuities.

Wednesday, November 8thClaudia Roden & Ana Sortun Team Up

Claudia Roden, author of the newly published, award-winning cookbook Arabesque, will be joining Ana Sortun at Oleana for a full menu featuring dishes from Claudia’s book. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Claudia and to purchase Arabesque. Dinner gets underway at 6:30 and costs $90 per person, which includes the meal, beverages and gratuities.

Monday, November 13thUltimate Thanksgiving with Kevin Crawley

For a segment on the Food Network, chef Kevin Crawley of Coriander in Sharon create an unforgettable Thanksgiving dinner. Now he’ll share tips for creating “turkey two ways” (classic bruniose style and in a red wine braise), sweet potato galette with Grand Marnier and candied orange, and cranberry apple tart with Calvados syrup, gingersnaps and crème fraîche. Class runs from 6:00-9:00pm and costs $125 per person.

Monday, November 20thJeannie Rogers Hosts Friends from Italy

Jeannie Rogers, co-owner of Waltham’s Il Capriccio, is an expert sommelier and a recognized expert on Italian wines. Join her as she hosts Lorenzo Corino and Isabella Peverati from Italy. Lorenzo is a soil scientist and vineyard owner in Costiglione d’Asti. Isabella, a specialist in Piedmont cuisine with Ligurian influences, has her own agriturismo in Cassine. From 6:00-8:00pm you can sample their foods and wines for $65 per person.
