Bid on Dinner at Your Favorite Restaurants

The Boston Living Center, a nonprofit community center serving the HIV/AIDS population of Eastern Massachusetts, is auctioning off multi-course meals at some of Boston’s top restaurants (think: Aquitaine, Pho Republique and Gargoyles on the Square) as part of their annual Dinnerfest fundraiser. Call the Boston Living Center at to bid on the dinners – they’ve got a two three-course dinner for four at Aquitaine, one of the South End’s most popular French bistros. The bidding starts at $300 each. Also up for grabs are two dinners for four at Pho Republique, the South End’s popular Southeast Asian eatery. The folks at Pho are offering a menu that includes appetizer, entrée, wine and dessert that’d probably set you back $300 or so normally. They’re starting the bidding at $200 each. Last but not least, chef Jason Santos has donated two three-course dinners for four at Davis Square’s beloved Gargoyles on the Square. The estimated retail value is around $375, so they’re starting the bidding at $250.The dinners have all been donated by the restaurants, so go proceeds will go directly to serve the more than 2,400 members who access the Boston Living Center’s services each year. Some restrictions apply as to availability (most dinners can’t be booked for a Friday or Saturday night) and all dinners must be scheduled before June 30th. Call the Boston Living Center at 617.236.1012 for more details (ask for Nathan Stell at extension 256) or to place your bid online.
