10th Annual Nantucket Wine Festival

Tickets for the 10th annual Nantucket Wine Festival have just gone on sale – we’d advise scooping yours up as soon as you can, because they disappear fast (and while you’re at it, you might as well book your room and your ferry reservations). This year’s event, which is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17th through Sunday, May 21st, continues the Great Wine in Grand Houses tradition with private tastings in some of Nantucket’s great houses, a whole new series of seminars and, of course, the Grand Tasting, which will have a special focus on the wines of Bordeaux this year. The Grand Tasting is also the best opportunity to see a whole host of your favorite chefs in action. Cruise by the cooking demo stage to glean tips from Boston’s elite culinary peeps like Tom Berry who’s just taken over at the Temple Bar, Eric Brennan of Excelsior, Daniel Bruce of Meritage, Gabriel Frasca currently of Spire, Bob Kinkead of Sibling Rivalry, Barbara Lynch of No. 9 Park, Keith Pooler of Harvest, Ana Sortun of Oleana and Jay Murray of Grill 23 & Bar, among many, many others. Seminars and tastings are all priced individually. To purchase tickets and to get the full scoop on the whole five-day event, contact the Nantucket Wine Festival at 508.228.1128 or visit them on-line at www.nantucketwinefestival.com.
