19th Annual Christmas Festival

Some of Boston’s most celebrated chefs get into the holiday spirit a little ahead of schedule at the 19th Annual Christmas Festival, a beloved Boston tradition. Scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 4th, 5th and 6th at Boston’s World Trade Center, the festival is New England’s largest fine arts and crafts show, featuring more than 350 of the nation’s most acclaimed artists and master craftsmen. Holiday shoppers will find a treasure trove of gifts, fine jewelry, gourmet treats, holiday décor and more. The highlight, culinarily speaking, is the Gingerbread House Competition, where Boston’s celebrated chefs from restaurants like Grill 23 & Bar, The Ritz Carlton, The Seaport Hotel, Tosca, Petit Robert Bistro, The Borrowed Butler and Legal Seafoods showcase meticulously detailed confections depicting legendary landmarks and festive holiday landscapes. Entries will be judged by a celebrity panel and sold, with proceeds to benefit Rosie’s Place, a local organization dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for poor and homeless women. The Christmas Festival will be open for business on Friday from 12:00-7:00pm, Saturday from 10:00am-7:00pm, and Sunday from 10:00am-5:00pm. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and free for children under 14. For more information about the Christmas Festival, call 617.385.5000, or visit www.christmascraftfestival.com.
