Caffe Tosca, little sister restaurant to Hingham’s Tosca, puts their traditional regional weekly specials on hold for a special summer menu highlighting a variety of organic basils from Eva’s Garden in South Dartmouth. Chef Brian Hennebury will be featuring more than seven different basils in dishes like the five-basil salad with marinated yellow tomatoes; and pasta with pesto, potatoes and baby green beans. Pastry Chef Maria Cavaleri Gilardo gets in on the act by creating a sweet, tart and tangy lemon-basil ice cream.
