Chef Mark Sapienza returns to his former stomping grounds at the Langham Hotel (formerly Le Meridien) to assume the role of chef de cuisine at Julien. He’ll be working alongside executive chef Daniel Kenney and pastry chef John Quinn. In Somerville, longtime Independent chef Mark Usewicz has moved on. He plans to take some time off before making his next move. Chef Chris Frothingham moved on over to Kingfish Hall in Faneuil Hall and chef Jenny Cates moves on up to fill his spot behind the line at Bonfire. Chef Jérôme Legras, who joined the culinary team at Aujourd’hui, in March as chef de cuisine, is gearing up for the restaurant’s re-opening on Monday, June 28th. He takes the reins from former chef Ed Gannon who’s opened his new restaurant Lure on Martha’s Vineyard.
