Something to Sing About

Chef Robert Fathman is singing a new tune these days. The Azure chef has turned his attention to Anthem, a new restaurant slated to open the first week of October. Located at 138 Portland Street, in the shadow of the Fleet Center, Anthem, with its free-spirited menu of casual American bistro fare, will be the perfect pre game or concert spot. Its sultry downstairs lounge with lighter fare and signature cocktails is the perfect pit stop after a day of shopping in nearby Faneuil Hall. Fathman and chef de cuisine Sildo Junior have put together a quirky menu with things like crispy skinned duck confit with arugula salad & cranberry beans; roasted pumpkin soup with molasses, sage, brown sugar & fried potato dumplings and fried Twinkie with berry coulis. Anthem will be open for both lunch (11:00am-3:00pm) and dinner (4:30pm-10:30pm). Call 617.523.8383 for reservations – once they open, that is.
