Now that swimsuit season is drawing to a close, Café Fleuri reintroduces its renowned Chocolate Bar, now in its 15th season. Starting on Saturday, September 13th, pastry chef John Quinn will tempt chocoholics with his try-all-you-like buffet, featuring more than 25 different chocolate desserts. For $23.00 per adult, $12.50 for children under the age of twelve, and free for children four and under try sinful creations like white chocolate pistachio panna cotta, coconut crème caramel, chocolate “paradise” torte, and chocolate raspberry Napoléon. The Chocolate Bar is open every Saturday from 12:00-3:00pm. Celebrate the start of the 15th season of The Chocolate Bar with an evening of fashions and confections on Tuesday, September 30th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The opening reception, sponsored by Kahlua, will feature the city’s top pastry chefs from restaurants like: Davio’s, Gourmet Caterers, Icarus, Julien, Mantra, Meritage, Peking Tom, Spire, 33 Restaurant & Lounge and Torch. Bartenders get to join the fun, squaring off in a contest to make the “Most Decadent Chocolate Cocktail.” The cost of a ticket is $45.00, proceeds benefit Children’s Hospital Boston.
