This year two of Boston’s culinary heavyweights celebrate their 25th Anniversaries. In an industry where making it through the first year can be an accomplishment, lasting for 25 is quite a feat – both Icarus and L’Espalier have managed to do just that. While Icarus, under the guidance of chef Chris Douglass, is just wrapping up their summer festivities (a $25 prix fixe menu and a benefit for the Carter School), the revelry is just getting underway at L’Espalier. Mark your calendars for September 25th, when chef Frank McClelland will be joined by L’Espalier’s founding chef Moncef Medeb for a very special celebration dinner event. The menu will feature spectacular wines and favorite dishes form the past 25 years. Portions of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Copley Society.
