Noir’s Sultry Scene Lightens-Up for Summer

Noir, the sophisticated new bar that opened last fall in the Charles Hotel is premiering its outdoor patio, a special summer drink menu and an enhanced food menu designed for sharing. The patio, which opened officially on Memorial Day weekend, will feature live music on Sunday nights, $1.50 bottles of Edison Light on Wednesdays, outdoor grilling every Friday and a fresh juice drink menu that features four new drinks: The Last Seduction (Bacardi, fresh strawberry puree and peach nectar); Touch of Evil (Goslings Dark Rum, Grand Marnier and fresh-squeezed orange juice); Angel Face (Malibu, Cointreau, peach nectar and fresh-squeezed lemon juice); and Manhattan Melodrama (Stoli Vanil, Cointreau with two muddled blackberries). Chef Jody Adams has also added a selection of summery, shareable items to the food menu like lime, cilantro and ginger-garlic chicken skewers served with a tangy tomatillo dipping sauce; green summer gazpacho; and a Middle-Eastern vegetable plate accompanied by hummus, babaganoush and dukkah. For those who crave something sweet, Noir features simply strawberries with crème fraiche, brown sugar and chopped fresh mint. For more information, please call 617.661.8010.
