If you spent your Valentine’s Day sulking, keep in mind that a number of the area’s dating services have recently teamed up with some of the area’s great restaurants. So, if you’re up to it, you can at least be assured an outstanding meal, even if you don’t meet that someone special.
The Single Gourmet has made a career of introducing people over dinner at great restaurants. Dinners this month include Bomboa (Saturday, March 8th – cocktails at 6:30pm followed by dinner at 7:00pm for $62 per person), Maison Robert (Tuesday, March 11th – cocktails at 6:30pm followed by dinner at 7:00pm for $65 per person) and Radius (Saturday, March 15th – cocktails and dinner at 7:00pm for $85 per person). The prices for the dinners are on top of a $375 yearly membership fee, so it’s not for the commitment-phobic. For those who want a little more bang for their buck, so to speak, there’s always 8 Minute Dating at the Independent, which takes place on the first Tuesday of every month and usually sells out. It’s geared towards the 25-35 year old set and features a cash bar and complimentary food treats from chef Mark Usewicz. The event costs $28.88 per person and space is limited to 21 members of each sex, so sign up early through the 8 Minute Dating website.
