Gather your food-loving besties and get over to Kenmore Square on Monday, September 14th, to catch Lê Madeline‘s Peter Nguyen at Eastern Standard Kitchen & Drinks for Nhậu Night: New England x Vietnam, a one-night-only pop-up running from 5:00-9:00pm.
More than simply eating and drinking together, nhậu is a Vietnamese tradition built around community, conversation and lingering at the table. Instead of everyone ordering an entrée of their own, dishes arrive in waves to be passed around and shared, another round is poured and nobody is in much of a hurry to leave. Nguyen is bringing that convivial spirit to Fenway with an à la carte menu that pairs Vietnamese flavors and traditions with ingredients and dishes rooted in New England.
Order widely and try a little of everything, from New England Apple Gỏi with maple-lime nước chấm and Fried Clam Bánh Khọt to Vietnamese White Clam Pizza and Bò Lúc Lắc Steak Tips with garlic rice pilaf. Larger tables can dig into the Viet-Cajun Fisherman’s Platter or go all in on a Hot Seafood Tower piled with oysters, mussels, shrimp and a whole lobster. The a la carte menu is designed for sharing, so gather your crew and book a table online here before the one-night pop-up fills up.
