Brunch Fundraiser at MIDA

Close out Black History Month with brunch and a boost to a great local organization at MIDA. Chef Douglass Williams’ trio of Italian-influenced eateries is teaming up with Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey on Sunday, February 25th for a fundraising brunch to benefit The Steppingstone Foundation, a nonprofit that works to close equity gaps in education for Boston’s youth, and prepares students from historically marginalized communities to access, navigate, and graduate from college.

All you have to do to show your support is to make a reservation at any of the three MIDAs (South End, Newton or East Boston) between 10:30am and 2:30pm, fill up on some shakshuka or classic carbonara, and sip an Uncle Nearest cocktail or two. Every dollar spent on drinks made with Uncle Nearest, the award-winning whiskey that’s named for the world’s first-known African American master distiller, Nearest Green (and, by the by, is the top-selling Black-owned spirits brand in the world), will be donated to the foundation.

There will be some special sips in store, too, including a Strawberry Boulevardier Milk Punch made with Strawberry Infused Campari, Uncle Nearest, and Cocchi Torino Rosso, which will is a perfect pairing with their Crispy Potato Hash with pork sugo, fried egg, grana padano, chives. Secure a spot at the location of your choice to do some good over brunch.
