A Taste of Texas Bourbon

The Smoke Shop

The stars at night aren’t the only things big and bright deep in the heart of Texas, they’ve also got the award-winning Garrison Brothers Distillery – and you can try some of their acclaimed bourbons at a special dinner at The Smoke Shop on Thursday, February 15th.

Chef and pitmaster Andy Husbands’ Assembly Row location will be hosting a visit from the distillery’s founders, Dan and Nancy Garrison, for a whiskey tasting and Texas-style dinner, which includes four tastes of their estate-made spirits including Small Batch Bourbon, Single Barrel, Balmorhea “Double Oaked” Bourbon, and Guadalupe “Port Barrel Finished” Bourbon.

There’ll be three courses of the ‘Shop’s signature BBQ, so bring an appetite, and while you’re digging in to all the Armadillo eggs, Texas-style brisket and Jalapeno cheese grits, the Garrisons will walk you through each bottle and tell you all about the process of making whiskey worthy of winning the Monterey International Wine & Spirits gold medal.

Snag tickets here for $50 each. The dinner will be served family-style starting at 6:00pm, and your ticket includes a Honey Dew Old Fashioned cocktail, all your food, the bourbon flight (you can check out the menu below), tax and tip. If you have any Qs you can reach out to the Assembly Row location at 617.623.7427, and be sure to keep an eye on their events page for lots of upcoming classes and dinners this year.
