Isaac Reyes

Chef Isaac Reyes, a native of Mexico City, grew up helping his father in the kitchen and developing a deep love and appreciation for cooking.

At 18 years old he came to the US and began working in restaurants. He worked in many New York City kitchens, including the now-closed Ideya, working his way up from porter to line cook to Sous Chef to Chef de Cuisine.

Reyes then made the move to Massachusetts and was hired as the opening Sous Chef for Island Creek Oyster Bar Burlington in 2016 and has been a stalwart in the kitchen ever since. Always willing to put in the hard work, to work any station and prep any ingredient, and always with a smile.

In 2021, after Island Creek Oyster Bar closed and reopened as Row 34 Burlington, Reyes was promoted to Chef de Cuisine. During this time he also started up Row 34’s ghost kitchen project, La Ventana, creating authentic Mexican fare available for take-out from the restaurant.

Reyes’ work ethic and kindness set the standard in his kitchen and shine through in the food that he serves.
