Conor Seip

Hailing from the picturesque South Shore town of Carver, MA, chef Conor Seip began his culinary journey early, nurtured by a family of adventurous eaters who exposed him to diverse flavors and encouraged him to try everything and cook for themselves.

His first taste of the restaurant industry came as a barback at Salvation Café in Newport, RI. But it didn’t take long for him to realize that the kitchen was where he belonged. He transitioned to the back of the house, working mornings in prep and nights at the bar.

This experience motivated him to enroll in the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts in Massachusetts. He honed his skills further while working alongside chefs Jasper White and Tim Willis at various Summer Shack locations (Hingham, Dedham, Back Bay, Cambridge). Learning the intricacies of seafood and coastal cuisine, he developed a solid foundation for his culinary career.

He served at the Chef de Cuisine at Lincoln Tavern in South Boston before taking his current position as the Culinary Director of Waverly Kitchen & Bar and the Executive Chef at Monument Tavern, where he crafts dishes that showcase New England’s rich culinary heritage while adding his own innovative twists.

Outside the kitchen, Seip enjoys spending time at home in Peabody, where he continues to experiment with cooking, whether it’s grilling, smoking ribs, or hosting New England-style clambakes. A dedicated Patriots fan, he also relishes game days at Gillette Stadium with his twin brother and friends.

His culinary aspirations include owning his own restaurant someday, where he can express his creativity fully. For now, Seip remains a driving force in the North Shore culinary scene, blending his passion for food with his deep-rooted New England sensibilities.
