Governor Charlie Baker has signed a bill allowing restaurants to sell mixed drinks to-go…finally! There are, of course, rules — bevvies must be sold in sealed containers and can only be purchased with food in limited quantities before midnight. You can read the whole bill here to get all the details if you are so inclined but the general gist is this: you can soon be sipping your favorite craft cocktails from the comfort of home. Here are a bunch of tantalizing to-go cocktails that are already available for take-out. Pick your poison and place your order asap.
Davio’s – Foxborough
236 Patriot Place Foxborough, MA 02035 508-339-4810
Five of the different Davio's locations are now offering cocktails for take-out. Look for signature sippers like the sunny Mediterraneo (Ketel One Vodka, Ketel Oranje, Cointreau, blood orange purée and lemon) as well as specials specific to each location, dreamed up by their on-site teams including the Blueberry Lemonade and Pomegranate Martini at Davio's Foxborough.
You can now order signature sippers like the Davio’s Doli (Reyka vodka and pineapple) to go with your take-out from five of the different Davio's locations. If you're getting you dinner from the Lynnfield outpost, look for the Watermelon Refresher which is available at this location only.
Order signature sippers like the Davio’s Doli, the Mediterraneo or Red, White or Rosé Sangria to go with your take-out from any of the Davio's — just take your pick! They may be known for their wine-loving ways at Forage but the cocktail game at this Harvard Square spot is on point. See for yourself and add some bevvies from their oft-changing, seasonal list to go with your next order of take-out.
The frosé at Karen Akunowicz's Fox & the Knife features a coconut rum floater for that little extra bit of something (something called booze). They say it's like a vacation in a glass and you can get it to go (whether you're going on vacation or not).
If you're placing an order from the special Butcher Shop menu at Grill 23 & Bar, don't forget the drinks — the Back Bay steakhouse has added a handful (to start!) of 16oz take-out drinks that'll make you feel like you're back in their elegant, two-tiered dining room.
