Located at 11 Fan Pier Boulevard, just steps away from Harborwalk, Serafina Seaport is a casual-yet-sophisticated waterfront Italian eatery that is a bit of a bigger and bolder sibling to Serafina on Newbury Street in the Back Bay.

Seth Greenberg, who has had a hand in developing and revitalizing some of Boston’s most beloved restaurants and hotels including Mistral, the Paradise nightclub, XV Beacon Hotel and the Ames Hotel, is the brains behind the newest addition to the ever-expanding Seaport restaurant scene, which seats up to 228 with the main dining room, private dining rooms, bar seating, counter seating and 22-seat patio.

The menu features a mix of signature pizzas, pastas and salads from the Newbury Street menu, plus an expanded array of appetizers and mains. The wine list is heavily Italian, with plenty of big names (think: Antinori, Gaja, and Sassicaia) plus some carefully curated smaller producers, and a range of well-known bottles from around the world. You can also try some rare and limited wines by the glass thanks to the in-house Coravin system, enjoy a craft cocktail (alcoholic or zero-proof), or tip back a pint of something local on draft.

Designed by Petra Hausberger of Somerton Park Interiors, the dining room boasts floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water. The feel is very 1950s Italian Riviera, with shades of sand, buff, pale green, rose, terracotta and tan, set off with Italian fashion photography, wall sculptures and paintings on the walls. The main dining room seats 114 with table seating plus a grouping of curved pecan leather banquettes that surround two live olive trees. There are also a pair of private dining rooms (The Capri Room and The Seaport Room) that can hold 22 and 36 respectively, 22 seats at the expansive bar, and 14 seats at the open pizza kitchen where you can peer into the hot oven to watch your pie crisp and bubble. The dining room is also equipped with four 65” TVs at the bar and one in each private dining room, so you’ll never miss a game.
