Pescador in Kenmore Square is a coastal-inspired grill located at the doorstep of the Hotel Commonwealth from restaurateurs and James Beard Award finalists Bruce and Eric Bromberg of Blue Ribbon Restaurants.
Fish is front and center on the menu, which leans in on New England catches that are prepared in a variety of globally-inspired techniques, from Andalusia to Argentina, aguachile to a la Plancha. The drinks list boasts more than 70 mezcals and tequilas, which populate the impressive cocktail lineup of classics, specialties, margaritas and palomas — you can even “B.Y.O.P” with your choice of tequila or mezcal and Jarritos flavor (grapefruit, mandarin or lime) for one, three or five people. The wine list is succinct; curated to cover and complement many of the international culinary coastal influences, plus some tried and true classics. And the beer list is an even split between New England locals and endearing imports from Spain, Columbia, Portugal and Peru.
With 195 seats spread throughout the sprawling space, you can find a spot at a communal table, tuck yourself into a cozy banquette, or pull up a stool at either the 18-seat ceviche bar or 30-foot cocktail bar and take a break from the hustle and bustle of Comm Ave. Longtime Blue Ribbon collaborators Guzy Architects designed the room, which is bathed in warm light and shades of blue, pink and orange to give it a relaxed, beach town vibe.
