Nestled in the woods on Route 53 in Hingham, The Quarry is a South Shore gem offering rustic-meets-refined regional fare from local purveyors and farms. From chef Greg Jordan’s scratch kitchen, menus evolve in keeping with the calendar as New England grown ingredients hit their peak. The changing seasons inspire a wide range of entrees, small plates and desserts, with flavorful slow-cooked braises, creative housemade pastas and locally-sourced seafood. There are numerous options for gluten-free diners and plenty of plates for dedicated carnivores including chops, racks and dry-aged prime rib. The famous ‘Quarry Cart’ makes its appearance at the restaurant’s popular Sunday Brunch, enticing guests with an array of juices and garnishes for table side preparation of Bloody Marys or Mimosas in addition to specialty craft cocktails.

Housed in a distinctive and prized granite landmark, The Quarry’s elegant dining room is a nod to Yankee ingenuity and industry. Upcycled wrought iron wagon wheels are recast as chandeliers to illuminate a sectioned space outfitted with floor-to-ceiling wine bins. A focal cathedral glass wall brings the lush greenery of the great outdoors into view. Diners can warm up by the fire or step outside to dine or enjoy drinks on a three-season patio looking out over the adjacent pond.

The Quarry is suitable for all occasions – from family gatherings to after work excursions or more intimate outings. There are ample tables and booths, as well as a private dining room that can be booked for private gatherings as well as daytime corporate events. The bar, with its three TVs, draws singles and groups together over a Wine Spectator-recognized wine list and a curated selection of bottled craft beers, ciders and house-bottled cocktails featuring infused and smoked spirits.
