Mamaleh’s Kibitz Corner in the Wellington/Harrington neighborhood of Cambridge is a new kind of public space where people can gather, connect, and ‘kibitz’ at special events, private parties, or an upcoming weekend lunch counter (“kibitz” in Yiddish means a casual chit chat, hang, or conversation with friends, btw) — all over authentic Jewish deli eats.
There’s room for 10 to 60 people inside, which makes it a great spot to gather for everything from book readings to baby showers, plus Big Dipper Hospitality (Mamaleh’s and State Park’s parent company) also uses the kitchen for testing space for new recipes and technology. The vibe inside is bright and cozy, with pink and white walls, dark flooring and natural wood tabletops. There are multiple traditional tables with chairs, plus plenty of extra room on hightop barstools and railings.
There is no set menu as the food will be tailored to each private event, plus a variety of pop-up chefs. However, Kibitz Corner is also the spot for ordering and picking up pre-ordered platters and other snacks for holiday events.
