Joia Opens at the Harborside Inn

Joia Restaurant & Lounge

The Rose Kennedy Greenway will soon boast a new destination for authentic Italian eats – Joia Restaurant & Lounge opens inside the Harborside Inn on Friday, April 21st. Owned by Naples native Gianmarco Rinaldi, the restaurant will offer a Gilded Age ambiance with traditional Italian recipes filtered through a contemporary lens. Rinaldi, who lives in the North End, brings a wealth of restaurant and hospitality knowledge and experience to this new venture. He has worked in both the kitchen and dining room – most recently was the manager at Trattoria il Panino – and credits North End restaurateur Frank DePasquale with showing him the ropes.

Joia’s menu will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner so you can start your day with a full sit-down breakfast of eggs benedict or pancakes, or enjoy a dinner of Italian classics like cacio e pepe served right from a tableside parmesan wheel, fried bocconcini balls, lobster fettuccine, and house-made mushroom ravioli. There’ll be takeout and delivery available for lunch and dinner, and for night owls they’ll offer a late-night lounge from 11:00pm until 1:00am every Thursday through Saturday. The bar menu will offer craft cocktails and some Italian favorites, like the Aperol Spritz, Espresso Martini, and Negroni. There will be a 16-seat bar, a dining room that seats 60 and a patio overlooking the Greenway that seats another 24 guests.

Rinaldi drew inspiration for the restaurant from The Great Gatsby, and the restaurant aims to transport diners back to the Gilded Age with its luxurious ambiance and refined service. Joia’s location in the Harborside Inn makes it an ideal spot for visitors, locals and anyone looking for a delicious meal in a beautiful setting.
