Hook + Line Coming This Fall

Hook + Line

Alcove owner and restaurateur-in-the-making Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli is set to bring the freshest catch of the day to the Seaport with the opening of Hook + Line Restaurant + Fish Market later this year.

Located at 10 Fan Pier, the new neighborhood spot will feature a stylish bar, raw bar, dining room and harborside patio where guests can enjoy a menu of local seafood complemented by a fish-friendly wine list showcasing the classics as well as some up-and-coming coastal wines (Alcove has already earned a few nods from the folks at Wine Spectator so you can rest assured you’ll be in good hands).

There’ll also be a stand-alone fish market, too. H+L Market will feature fresh seafood, handcrafted to-go dishes, and all manner of provisions for lunch, brunch or dinner on land or out on the water. Seafaring folks will be able to hop on the Boston Harbor Water Shuttle or the Fan Pier Ferry for easy arrival and departure by boat, too (just tuck that little tidbit away for future reference).

Schlesinger-Guidelli is excited to bring his version of modern hospitality – by way of an independent Boston-based restaurant – to the blossoming neighborhood. “For years I have wanted to create an essential, thoughtful seafood restaurant on Boston’s waterfront. When I saw this property I knew I could make a difference in this new neighborhood and shine a light on beautiful seafood and hospitality” he says.

And seafood and hospitality are pretty much in his blood. Schlesinger-Guidelli grew up in Westport and Cambridge working his way up through every restaurant and bar position starting at his uncle James Beard Award-winning chef ’s Chris Schlesinger’s spots (The Blue Room in Cambridge, East Coast Grill and The Back Eddy) followed by stints at Green Street, Eastern Standard, Craigie On Main and Island Creek Oyster Bar.

Be sure to check back for more info as summer starts to wind down but you can also keep an eye on the Hook + Line website and Insta for updates.
