Puritan Oyster Bar Opens

Puritan Oyster Bar

Oysters, light seafood bites and fun beverages are about to be a lot more plentiful in Inman Square – Puritan Oyster Bar (sister restaurant and next door neighbor to Puritan & Co.) officially opens for business on Tuesday, February 7th. The new spot joins chef and restaurateur Will Gilson‘s five other concepts, Puritan & Co., The Lexington, Geppetto, Cafe Beatrice and The Herb Lyceum.

Located at 1164 Cambridge Street, Puritan Oyster Bar will be open daily from 5:00-10:00pm seating walk-ins only (no reservations!) in their cozy, thirty-seat dining room (which includes 12 seats at their central bar). The space features high-top seating, rustic design elements and connects to Puritan & Co., allowing both restaurants to offer private dining and accommodate large parties.

The menu highlights Gilson’s passion for fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and will offer six rotating varieties of New England oysters, caviar service, seafood platters and more. Some of Puritan & Co., faves will make cameos on the menu (look for the smoked bluefish melt, lobster sandwich and signature Parker House Rolls) ‘though there’ll be plenty of new stuff to try too (think: hot buttered lobster toasts, beef and oyster tartare, yellowtail temaki taco, caviar pie and scallop crudo). Polish your meal off with a wine available by the bottle or glass, or try one of their large format cocktails, served in a Gurgling Cod, (known as a Glug Jug).

They don’t take reservations, so make sure to plan your evening accordingly and follow them on IG for updates.
