Add some coastal Italian fare to your next Saturday afternoon stroll down Newbury Street at Faccia a Faccia. The Back Bay newcomer (originally known as Faccia Brutta) from James Beard award-winning chefs Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette is now open from 12:00-3:00pm with a menu that balances both lunch-y and brunch-ish dishes. If you’ve already breakfasted, enjoy a midday meal of small plates like whipped ricotta with roasted kuri squash, pickled delicata, sage and pepitas, or plentiful bowls of housemade pasta like paccheri with gulf shrimp, crab, saffron tomato sauce and pine nuts. If you’ve had a more leisurely start to the day, go for AM faves like the pancake with caramelized apples, fried walnuts and whipped cream or cacio e pepe scramble with sourdough toast, burgundy truffle and guanciale parm.
