BAGLY Benefit Cocktail

There’s a lot happening in the LGBTQ+ community this month – nationally and locally. For starters, October is LGBT History Month, then Tuesday, October 11th is National Coming Out Day, followed by Spirit Day on Thursday, October 20th. Around these parts, there’s even more to get excited about: the folks at BAGLY, Inc. (the Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth) are celebrating the reopening of their newly expanded community center. If you’re not familiar with BAGLY, the youth-led, adult-supported organization, which was founded in 1980, is committed to social justice, and has spent 40+ years creating, sustaining and advocating for programs, policies and services for the LGBTQ+ youth community. It’s an organization and charitable partner near and dear to the hearts of the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel team.

In honor of BAGLY’s big news (and all the aforementioned October happenings), the team at hotel is adding a special cocktail to the drink list at Bambara Kitchen & Bar and donating a portion of the proceeds to the Boston-based non-profit. Just pop over to East Cambridge before the end of the month to try the Lucky Strike a combination of Slane Irish Whiskey, elderflower, lemon juice and simple syrup to lend your support (you can also make a donation here, just fyi). Consult the Bambara website for hours, reservations and additional info (like what you can pair with your do-good-ing drink).
