Chef Erin Miller Heads to NOLA

Urban Hearth

The heat is on for chef Erin Miller from Urban Hearth this weekend as she represents the State of Massachusetts at the Great American Seafood Cook-Off (GASCO) in New Orleans. This annual event is organized by the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board and squares chefs off from all over the country in the heart of Low Country for seafood supremacy. The competition kicks off with all of the chef teams cooking their dishes in front of a live audience and a panel of six notable judges — Top Chef style (check out the list of judges here). Each dish is then evaluated for presentation, creativity, composition, craftsmanship, flavor and more. Miller, who trained at the French Culinary Institute of New York and trained with Blue Hill’s Dan Barber, will be up against 12 other well-qualified chefs to take home the bragging rights of the King or Queen of seafood for 2022. Best of luck to Erin on her quest — follow Urban Hearth on Instagram for updates!
