Become a Wine Expert with Help from Alcove

Alcove

The best way to become a wine expert is to taste, taste, and taste some more. It’s tough work for sure, but Alcove has a monthly program that will make your grind a little easier. Join Alcove’s wine club and each month you will get two ($65 per month) or four ($115) bottles of wine made from the same grape, plus educational content highlighting the stories, backgrounds, and tasting notes from the month’s selections — and even a little snack from chef Charles Draghi to complement your private wine tasting party.

Assistant wine director Tara Orkofsky will carefully curate each month’s selections to bring you a range of different expressions of each varietal so that you can perfect your palate. Think matchups like: ‘18 Loimer Riesling Kamptal vs. ’20 Huber ‘Terrassen’ Riesling Traisental, and ‘18 Belle Pente Pinot Noir Willamette, OR vs. ‘19 Averaen ‘Flood Line’ Pinot Noir Eola-Amity Hills, OR. As an added bonus, wine club members will have first access to events and collaborations at the West End eatery.

You can choose to either pick up your wine each month or have it delivered (local Boston area) — delivery adds an additional $15; each month you’ll receive an email and text message confirming your delivery date or an invitation to schedule a pickup. Check out more details and sign up for the wine club via the Table 22 portal (where you can also easily skip a month, pause your subscription and cancel) or give the team a call at 617.248.0050 for questions.
