Colonnade’s Rooftop Pool Opens on Friday

Put your sweaters away and bust out your bathing suits because the Colonnade Hotel’s Rooftop Pool (RTP) reopens for the season on Friday, May 27th. The glorious urban oasis, perched twelve floors above the hustle and bustle of Huntington Ave, provides locals and travelers alike a seasonal escape in the heart of the city from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Open to hotel guests seven days a week and to the public Monday through Wednesday for $60 per person, the poolside hang offers streamlined a la carte menu of food and drink from chef Nicholas Calias and the team at LUCIE drink + dine as well as amenities like chaise lounges, plush towels, complimentary ice water and free sunscreen dispensers from the team at Impact Melanoma. If you’re feeling fancy, there are also private cabanas for rent seven days a week complete with lounge chairs and couches, TVs, refrigerators, charging stations, Sun Bum sunscreen, and dedicated waitstaff.

The Colonnade marked its 50th year of service in Boston’s Back Bay this year, and debuted a multi-million dollar renovation, including a redesigned lobby and refreshed rooms and suites so you’ll feel like you’re in the lap of luxury even if you’re stuck in the city. Keep an eye on their website for updates and additional info (poolside yoga coming soon!) or if you’re ready to take the plunge, call 617.425.3408 to reserve a spot and inquire about cabana rentals. Space is limited and, just a heads up, RTP is only open to the 21+ set after 5:00pm so plan accordingly.
