Garrett Harker’s Coming Back to Kenmore

Bower

Good news for fans of Garrett Harker and his trio of gone-but-not-forgotten Kenmore Square restaurants (that’s Island Creek Oyster Bar, The Hawthorne and the legendary Eastern Standard Kitchen & Drinks): the renowned hospitality pro is working on four new concepts in the Fenway-Kenmore area.

Slated to open in 2023 at Bower, a new, mixed-used luxury condo complex on Beacon Street between Kenmore Square and Audubon Circle (771 & 775 Beacon Street), the forthcoming projects are in partnership with The Green Cities Company, Nuveen Real Estate and Meredith Management.

More deets to follow about the individual concepts ‘though Harker will be reuniting with longtime collaborator and award-winning mixologist Jackson Cannon, who’ll be overseeing the beverage program, and tapping chef Nemo Bolin, who worked alongside Harker at No. 9 Park before opening Cook & Brown Public House in Providence, to head up culinary operations.

Keep checking back for updates and additional information. In the meantime, you can catch a glimpse of Harker at Branch Line in Watertown or order yourself some Oprah-approved pretzels from Eastern Standard Provisions, the artisanal snack brand he launched in 2019.
