Eat Plants & Drink Beer at PlantPub

Meat-free eaters and beer lovers have a brand new destination in Cambridge — PlantPub, a collaboration between Food & Wine Best New Chef Mary Dumont (formerly of Cultivar and Harvest) and craft beer aficionado Pat McAuley, is now open in Kendall Square.

Located at 675 West Kendall Street (overlooking Henri A. Termeer Square), the fresh spot features an approachable, plant-based menu with vegetarian versions of your favorite pub foods. Cauliflower wings come in flavors like buffalo, truffle buffalo, or Korean BBQ with dill ranch dressing for dipping while the kimchi burger (your choice of Impossible or veggie burger), is topped with cheese, spicy sesame slaw, fried pickled and kimchi aioli on an artisanal bun. There are snacks and sandwiches as well as bowls and pizzas, too. The beverage program, informed by McAuley’s industry experience, highlights a curated range of craft beers as well as non-alcoholic brews, with a selection of wines by the glass.

Have a peek at the inaugural offerings on the menu below and make a beeline for Kendall to enjoy fast-casual service in the dining room or out on their patio. PlantPub is open from 11:00am to 9:00pm Tuesday-Saturday to start ‘though you can expect Sunday and Monday service in the not-too-distant future. Keep up with the goings-on on their Insta or Facebook or check out their website for more info.
