Foxy Pasta at Formaggio

Fox & The Knife Instagram

Now you can get your mitts on Fox & the Knife‘s fresh, housemade pasta at Formaggio Kitchen‘s South End location and stay foxy from the comfort of home. Chef Karen Akunowicz and her crew are filling the case at the Shawmut Ave specialty shop with a daily selection of pastas like bucatini (like a hollow spaghetti it’s often used in amatriciana and cacio e pepe) and creste di gallo (known for its unique coxcomb shape, it can hold up against pretty much any sauce you’ve got).

Don’t forget to get some artisanal goodies to pair with your pasta like Tuscan Pecorino known for its crunchy crystal texture or I Contadini’s yellow tomato sauce from their third-generation family farm in Puglia, Italy. And, of course, wine. Just ask the helpful Formaggio peeps to pick out something to go with your selections and they’ll find the perfect pairing.

Keep your eyes on Fox & the Knife or Formaggio’s IG pages to see when some foxy sauce is hitting the shelves too, but in the meantime, have fun dishing up your own pasta creations with some of the freshest ingredients around.
