The Colonnade’s Rooftop Pool Opens Friday

The Colonnade Hotel

Summer heat seems to have arrived in Boston, and The Colonnade Hotel’s Rooftop Pool is opening just in time to celebrate. If you’re jonesing for a swim, there may not be a better one than in a pool located on a cabana-decked rooftop escape, fit with dazzling views of Boston. Located in Back Bay, The Colonnade is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2021, and in order to commemorate the occasion, is opening its rooftop pool to the public during the weekdays throughout the summer, beginning this Friday, May 28th. Though the pool area is open only to hotel guests on the weekends, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the newly renovated establishment (indoors and out) and lounge away the warm weather days.

Cabanas are available for rent seven days a week, and The Colonnade will be hosting a weekly yoga series in June with instructor Rebecca Pacheco. And of course, this couldn’t be a complete announcement without mention of the RTP restaurant, located on the pool deck. The menu features an array of bites and drinks, from a mediterranean mezze platter to start, to a delicious chilled crab salad and prosciutto and fig sandwiches for the main course.

Now, be sure to make a reservation at least 48 hours in advance, and the sooner the better on that one, because the rooftop pool is extremely popular during the summer months and books up fast. Call the RTP at 617-425-3408 to book your lounge chair, table or cabana. Keep in mind that each has a fee of booking, beginning at $50 per chair or table and a food and beverage minimum starting at $20 as well. But for a day well-spent, dipping in the pool and tanning under the hot summer sun or swimming and sipping cocktails under the star-studded skies, the experience will be worth it.
