Get Ready for Grand Banks Fish House

Grand Banks Fish House

Chef Robert Sisca of Bistro du Midi and Himmel Hospitality‘s Chris Himmel have joined seafood-loving forces to transform the Back Bay space that once housed Post 390 into Grand Banks Fish House. Slated to open before the end of July, the two-story spot at the corner of Clarendon and Stuart Streets will serve a menu teeming with seafood, designed to evoke the old school New England Fish House with fresh takes on classic regional specialties.

The first floor dining room will feature a 26-seat bar, high-top tables, and a fully functional raw bar, while the second floor will offer diners a glimpse behind the scenes via the open kitchen as well as views of Trinity Church from their floor-to-ceiling windows. There’ll be multiple private dining rooms, two fireplaces, and an oversized horseshoe bar to anchor the space.

Sisca’s menu focuses on fresh, sustainable seafood from local partners like Snappy Lobster, Wulf’s Fish and Island Creek Oysters — a demonstration of his deep respect for the ocean and commitment to its stewardship. From live scallop crudo, smokehouse blue fish pate, soft shell crab sando, squid ink tagliatelle and Grand Banks lobster bake with lobster meat, chorizo, clams, mussels, potatoes and corn — there’ll be something to suit every fish lover. There’ll also be goodies like Giannone chicken with wild ramp risotto and Brandt filet mignon for folks who prefer to source their dinner from dry land.

Once they’re up and running, they’ll be open nightly — Sundays through Thursdays from 5:00 ’til 10:00pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 ’til 11:00pm. Get all the updates on Grand Banks website and follow them on Instagram here
