After a long, quiet year and a winter hibernation, Time Out Market Boston is ready to reopen their doors, and they’re raring back bigger and better than before. Starting Thursday, May 13th, the Fenway food hall will be open to the public with an expansive, brand-new 6,000 square foot outdoor patio, spacious front lawn and cavernous indoor dining area featuring appropriately spaced tables (for socially distant dining). Plus, they’ve committed themselves to Covid-safety with a new app, to make contactless ordering and pick-up that’s as breezy as the sprawling outdoor space.
The new and improved Time Out Market will feature the same core values, as host to 12 local culinary concepts, a bar program inspired by the region and cultural activities to match. Among the lineup are the beloved Ms. Cluck’s Deluxe, a chicken dumpling innovateur from James Beard Award-winnings Chef Tim Cushman and sake expert Nancy Cushman (sister to O Ya, Bianca and Hojoko) will be serving up some serious bird. Think chicken and waffle fries with maple syrup and chicken and cheddar gyozas. Yum. And what you can’t get at Ms. Cluck’s, you can get at Cusser’s Roast Beef & Seafood, a pop-up that began as a takeout window inspired by seafood shacks by the North Shore. Though there won’t be chicken, Cusser’s will feature acclaimed lobster rolls and messy-in-the-best-way roast beef sandwiches. Name sound familiar? Well, Cusser’s is sister establishment to the beloved Mooncusser Fish House (and 80 Thoreau for that matter), so you can expect delicious and decadent eats from boss lady and Chef Carolyn Johnson. Plus there are the dessert classics at the market, too, such as Union Square Donuts and Gelato & Chill, which have gluten free and vegan options available, so everyone in your party can indulge.
Now, be sure to make it to the market as soon as it reopens on Thursday, because this weekend they are planning up a storm of great activities to celebrate, from the Time Out Tiki Bar (featuring kick-ass cocktails) to installations from Blind Fox Art and a guest appearance from Boston Red Sox Mascot, Wally. There’ll even be a livestream of a Red Sox game on the big screen this Saturday, May 15th at 4:00pm. Fans of baseball and great food – this is your moment. Can’t make it out to the Fenway spot this weekend? Time Out Market has you covered with delivery of all of their food offerings via Ubereats, DoorDash and Caviar. The opening hours will be Wednesday-Friday from 4:00-10:00pm and Saturday and Sundays from 9:00am-10:00pm (just know that the kiosks that don’t serve breakfast won’t open until 11:00am).
So head over asap to get a taste of the music, vibes and of course delicious culinary creations that Time Out Market is known for, and don’t forget to bring a friend to enjoy the experience with. Eat up!
