The Lexington Opens at Cambridge Crossing

Wednesday’s the day for Puritan & Co.‘s Will Gilson’s next project—The Lexington restaurant at Cambridge Crossing will be officially open for business on November 11th. Hot on the heels of Café Beatrice, an all day café that opened last month, The Lexington is the second of three concepts that Gilson’s got in the works (Geppetto is slated to open in 2021) at the new connected neighborhood at the intersection of Cambridge, Somerville and Boston (located at 100 North First Street).

Open from 4:30-10:00pm Tuesday through Saturday to start, The Lexington will feature an approachable menu of locally-sourced fare including snacks, apps, soups and salads (any of which can be adorned with saltine-crusted fried oysters). Diners in search of more substantial eats can choose from a handful of sandwiches and entrees like roasted chicken, glazed short rib and wild mushroom cavatelli. Pastry chef Brian Mercury has added some desserts to the mix so be sure to save some room for carrot cake, Taza cremeux or the It’s a Mess, a flax seed meringue with apricot, cherry, raspberry
