Now that you’re a sourdough pro, perfect your oyster shucking technique with an on-site how-to at B&G Oysters. The team at the seafood-focused restaurant on Tremont Street (one of Barbara Lynch’s) has resumed their tutorials-for-two Sunday through Friday between 12:00 and 5:00pm. Schedule a lesson for you and a plus one – it’s $185 per shellfish-curious pair – and let the masters show you the way. Classes include two oyster knives (which you’ll get to take home), step-by-step instruction, some practice oysters to get you started followed by a dozen to shuck and eat, and two glasses of bubbly to go with them. The B&G team has annexed the big table at their sister spot, Stir, across the street so you don’t have to worry about being too close to any classmates. Call 617.423.0500 to sign up and soon you’ll be ready to shuck your own oysters (y’know, just in case you can’t get to your local oyster bar for some unforeseen reason).
