Restaurateur Leo Keka has opened the newest addition to his restaurant family: ALBA on 53 in Hanover is officially up and running. Like its sister restaurant in Quincy, the beauteous and spacious (7,500 square feet!) Mediterranean steakhouse features a menu of prime beef, fresh local seafood, and house-made pastas with plenty of room for al fresco dining and a world-class 700-bottle wine list. A dash of Arab and Eastern Mediterranean flavors, courtesy of chef Todd Renner who’s heading up the kitchen, distinguish Alba on 53 from its celebrated sibling. Menu items include house-made gnocchi with lamb ragu with vadouvan crème fraiche and cilantro labneh kefir, lamb tartare with harissa aioli, feta and quail egg and house-made baba ghanoush with grilled za’atar flatbread.
