Chef-owner Carolyn Johnson and her 80 Thoreau team, who’ve been working at fever pitch since mid-March, are taking a much needed little break over the 4th of July but before they go…they’re packing up holiday picnics for you and yours (you know they weren’t going to leave you hanging for the holiday weekend). Place your order and pop on over to Concord to scoop up your portable feast, which includes goodies like smoked bluefish, grilled bavette steak and lobster pasta salad (you can see the full line-up below). Picnics are meant to feed four-six people and cost $195. To reserve yours, drop Andrew an email (Andrew@80Thoreau.com) before 8:00pm on Wednesday and they’ll have everything ready for you on Friday between 3:00 and 4:00pm.
Of course, if you’re not that into picnics or don’t want to wait until Friday, you can always order take-out or make a patio reservation by calling 978.318.0008 or through the 80 Thoreau website. Word on the street (also, in an email from the restaurant) is they’re breaking down a 42lb striped bass to feature on the menu.
