Uni, Now Open

Satisfy your hankering for sushi with some of the city’s award-winningest at Ken Oringer‘s Uni. The Back Bay restaurant, nestled on the first floor of the Eliot Hotel, has re-opened for take-out and delivery as well as on-site dining on their sidewalk patio daily from 5:00-9:00pm.

Chef Tony Messina’s menus (there’s one for take-out and one for the patio) are full of fun and creative sashimi, nigiri, makimono and more – both new and familiar dishes. Look for standouts like Lubina (that’s Spanish sea bass, in case you didn’t know) with green chermoula, sultanas and preserved lemon gremolata, and Spicy Tuna and Foie Gras Tataki with aji amarillo, pickled huckleberry and black walnut. There’s wine, beer, sake and cocktail kits on the take-out menu and wine, beer, sake and actual cocktails on the patio menu.

Take a peek, take your pick and plan accordingly. Reservations (available on the Uni website) are required for on-site dining and there are a few guidelines (detailed here) to keep in mind. If you’d prefer to pick-up take-out, order here. Or, if you’d prefer delivery, you can let the folks at Caviar or UberEats bring your sushi right to you.
