Here’s another way you can support your friends in the hospitality industry: stock your home bar with goods from Gordon’s Wine. The folks behind the longstanding group of local shops have teamed up with The Greg Hill Foundation’s Restaurant Strong Fund, the initiative started by chefs Ming Tsai, Ken Oringer and Chris Coombs and their friends at Sam Adams to raise monies for out-of-work restaurant-folk. Check your liquor cabinet to see what you’re running low on – wine? tequila? rum? armagnac? – and grab a few bottles and Gordon’s will pass along a portion of sales from select bottles in their online shop to the fund. It’s for a good cause and it’s not like the booze will go bad before the shutdown ends so have at it.
