Awards season is upon us — time to see which of your favorite local spots made the James Beard Foundation‘s long-list of contenders for 2020 (which will be whittled down to the short-list at the end of March). There are plenty of familiar names and faces in national categories like Best New Restaurant, Outstanding Baker and Outstanding Wine Program, and a slew of hometown heroes in the Best Chef Northeast category, too. Finalists will be announced starting at 9:00am on Twitter on Wednesday, March 25th and winners will be crowned at the James Beard Awards Gala on Monday, May 4th at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
