A Dozen Valentine’s Day Cocktails

Valentine’s Day is practically here — hopefully you’ve already booked your tables and placed your flower orders. Whatever kind of festivities the most romantical of holidays holds for you, add a little booze with some specialty cocktails created specifically to fill your hearts with love and liquor. Drop by any of these spots to enhance your celebration (or drown your sorrows).

Bully Boy Distillers – Do You Love Me?

Bully Boy Distillers has crafted a signature Valentine’s Day cocktail suited for those in search of something unique. Swing by their Gothic-style tasting room and grab a seat in a cozy velvet booth or a couple seats at the bar to try the Do You Love Me? featuring The Rum Cooperative Volume Two and the perfect blend of lychee, passion fruit, cherry and lemon.

Capo – The Monroe Sour

Capo in South Boston is bringing you a taste of Hollywood with The Monroe Sour, built with Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon, amaretto, simple, lemon and egg white. Swing by the Galentine’s Day brunch party on Saturday the 15th for a featured selection of punch bowls as well. Cheers to you Norma Jeane Mortenson!

Davio’s – The Proposal

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner things could be heating up or possibly re-heating up in your relationship with your S.O. Maybe you want to treat them to a very special night and light or re-light the flame. The proposal I have for you is to head down to Davio’s and try their special cocktail called The Proposal crafted with Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut Champagne, Dry Line Gin, Grand Marnier 100 and fresh lemon.

Osteria Posto – Pink Panther

Celebrate love, lust, friendship, family, anything and everything this weekend at Osteria Posto. They will be featuring three special cocktails created for Valentine’s Day which are Cupid’s Arrow, Caribbean Love and Pink Panther. Bet you can’t guess which one the Pink Panther is.

Park – Forever After

Park Restaurant and Bar will be featuring the Forever After as a tasty way to toast the companion(s) of your choice. For all the strawberry lovers out there, book your reservations or swing by for a post-dinner cocktail. This tequila based bevvie is a perfect refresher and you will love the strawberry tequila, St. Germain, Aperol, honey and lime.

Porto – Sparkling Heart

Porto will be hosting a Happy Pills pop-up the weekend February 14th and 15th where you can try the Sparking Heart or Espress-Yo-Love cocktails, each garnished with sweets from premium experiential concept (based in Spain) which just opened its first location on Salem Street in the North End. Choose between the Espress-Yo Love which combines Three Olives Vodka Triple Shot, Baileys, Chambord, and a heart-shaped marshmallow or the Sparkling Heart which features Cava, Cocchi and a dash of cranberry, garnished with red gummy hearts.

Temple Bar – Lady Stoneheart

Love is in the air and heart-shaped ice cubes are in the drinks. Temple Bar has a special sipper courtesy of Bar Maven Jenn Harvey for you to enjoy this weekend. Lady Stoneheart is started with gin, lemon, la pinta pomegranate, spiced bitters and finished with cava. Get all gussied up (or don’t—it’s Cambridge) and head down and grab a seat at the bar.

TAMO – Bestie Bowl

Sharing is caring and TAMO Bistro + Bar at the Seaport Hotel has a treat for two (at least!) to enjoy. This Bestie Bowl is available through the end of February. Pace yourself with this 51oz pool of Bacardi Dragon Berry Rum, Oakheart Rum, guava juice, passion fruit, orgeat topped with lavender bitters, dragon fruit and mint.

Waypoint – Married to the Sea

Your first impulse might be to pair seafood or oysters with a nice buttery chardonnay or crisp Sancerre but Waypoint‘s Married to the Sea might be a perfect alternative. According to popular opinion (and the experts at Waypoint) the gin mare, salted grapefruit, lime, cardamom & cinnamon will pair perfectly with your dozen of oysters!
