South Shore-ers have another breakfast and lunch spot to check out this fall. Mae’s is officially open in Marshfield’s Ocean Bluff, and the sandwich shop/café aims to be your go-to gourmet eatery for high quality coffee and homemade pastries along with both classic and original sammies. Co-owners Sam Kauff and Eileen Price, both of whom orked on the opening team at Kerri Lynch’s 16C in Quincy, have oodles of experience between them — Kauff spent time at 51 Lincoln and Ashmont Grill while Price was part of the teams at Babycakes, Bagelsaurus and Formaggio Kitchen.

Now you can enjoy their collective expertise at in Marshfield. Visit them online to plan your visit or just head for 563 Ocean Street any time Tuesday through Sunday between 7:00am and 3:00pm for daily pastries, Mae’s breakfast sandwich, housemade granola and more than ten specialty lunch sandwiches. Look for house specialties like the Lazy Susan, a tongue-in-cheek tribute to Kauff and Price’s mothers (both of whom are named Susan) made with house roasted turkey breast, cranberry mustard relish, herb stuffing, lettuce and mayo on country white bread and The Capozzoli with Genoa salami, mortadella, aged provolone, arugula, pickled hots and hoagie dressing on Mae’s focaccia.
