Puritan & Co. chef-owner Will Gilson’s got some good news for his neighbors in Allston – the talented cooker (and Allston resident) is planning a six-month-long pop up right on Western Ave. Café Beatrice, named in honor of Gilson’s newborn baby girl, is scheduled to open May 1st in the space most recently occupied by Rabottini’s (182 Western Ave). The all day café will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00am to 7:00pm serving everything from espresso drinks, breakfast sandwiches and open-faced toasts (of the avocado variety and more) to sandwiches, salads and bowls (both grain and noodle). All of the goods will be available for take-out, dine-in or stay-in—Café Beatrice will have an app-based delivery service for folks who don’t feel like venturing out of doors though for those who do there’ll be parking, wifi and, during warm weather, outdoor seating.
