It’s that time, again — time to peruse the long list of contenders for the 2019 James Beard Foundation awards. See which hometown heroes made the list of semifinalists in national categories like Best New Restaurant, Outstanding Baker and Outstanding Wine Program; there are plenty of familiar names and faces from in and around Boston. Finalists will be announced starting at 10:00am on Twitter on Wednesday, March 27th and winners will be crowned at the James Beard Awards Gala on Monday, May 6th at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
