According to a post on their Instagram feed, Les Sablons, the youngest sibling in the Eastern Standard family of restaurants, will be closed as of Thursday, August 2nd. The swanky spot, which occupied two very narrow floors within the Conductor’s Building in Harvard Square, opened in April 2017 with some serious talent on both sides of the swinging door – chef-owner Jeremy Sewall and chef de cuisine Brian Rae (now Executive Chef at Coppa) in the kitchen, and legendary hospitality pros Garrett Harker and Jackson Cannon in the dining room. Since you can’t say goodbye in person, you can pour one out at one of their other local spots – Island Creek Oyster Bar, Row 34, The Hawthorne, Eastern Standard or Branch Line.
